Sunset at Teluk Bahang
Posted by kelvin-tan | Filed under sunrise / sunset
Last few weeks, Stephanie, Chia Ling, Sunshine and I went to Teluk Bahang Dam to watch the Penang International Dragon Boat Race.
After the event, we went to the beach nearby for some drinks at a dessert stall. Remembering what EC (my manager) told me that Teluk Bahang beach is a favourite spot for photographers to shoot sunset, I waited there and hoped that I can take a few sunset shots too.
While having our drinks, I snapped this silhouette shot when Sunshine was snapping sunset with her camera phone.
Then, we went down to the beach to enjoy the beautiful sunset view...

BBQ Dinner at Korea Palace Restaurant
Posted by kelvin-tan | Filed under food
This post is about food again, it's another gathering with my ex-classmates. This time, we wanted to get something different, other than local food for dinner. So, we went to Korea Palace BBQ Restaurant in Tanjung Tokong. The restaurant is located at the 1st floor of Wisma Bayu.
The restaurant is quite spacious. It has 10 normal dining tables, 5 tatami seating tables (with legroom under the table) and 2 private rooms for larger group gathering, birthday celebration or company event.
We started the meal with green tea and assortment of Banchan: Small plates of Kimchi, pickled vegetables, salads and other side dishes. The dishes can be refilled anytime at free of charge.
We ordered a few dishes: Grilled Chicken with Red Pepper Paste Sauce (RM27++), Grilled Pork Belly (RM27++) and Kimchi Stew (RM18++). And as usual, we got a bowl of steam egg at free of charge.
After the dinner, we're served with cold barley drinks and friuts. Everyone had an enjoyable dinner there. Total bill: RM91.35 (including rice and service charge).
In case anyone interested to have lunch / dinner there, below are the details of the restaurant. It takes reservations.

Dinner at Mizi Bistro
Posted by kelvin-tan | Filed under food
Yesterday night, I brought my ex-classmates for dinner at Mizi Bistro, New World Park. We ordered 3 dinner sets: Lasagne al-Forno, Terriyaki Chicken and Fish Cordon Bleu. Each set is charged at RM21.50++ and served with a main course, bread, soup, drink and free flow of ice-cream.
Tried to take a few shots of food at different angles and compositions to find for suitable aperture as well as other camera settings to shoot food...
